Vice President of Human Resources

Clay England is the Vice President of Human Resources at Beechwood Memorial. He is responsible for developing and deploying HR strategic programs and processes that align to the operational needs of the hospital. Through partnering with Beechwood Memorial leaders he is focused on increasing employee engagement, improving retention, developing leaders, driving talent management and creating a “Best Place to Work” culture.

Pervious to joining Beechwood Memorial, Clay was employed with Grady Health System, a 950 bed public academic health system in Atlanta, where he served in different roles including as the Interim Sr. Vice President & Chief Human Resources Office. He spent the majority of his career at Siemens AG, where he successfully developed and led HR functions across four U. S. based Siemens operating companies as well as the corporate headquarters in Germany.

Throughout his career Clay has been a transformational leader. He has tangible experience implementing innovative technological solutions, driving process improvements, and reengineering and reinventing the Human Resources function. His efforts have resulted in reduced turnover, higher employee and physician engagement, better customer satisfaction scores, and improved overall organizational results. He has been recognized for these results and has spoken at the Press Ganey National Convention, United Way Atlanta Conference and the American Hospital Association HHRMAC conference.

Clay has a Bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and attained his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification in 2010. Clay and his wife Kristi are originally from Kingman, Arizona and have 5 kids.
