The EIRMC Rehabilitation Center provides care for people who have experienced many different types of injuries or who suffer from chronic disease, all with the goal of increasing independence and function. Since 1989, our team has served thousands of patients.

Our rehabilitation services involve one-to-one meetings and sessions that may include physical, occupational, and respiratory therapists; speech language pathologists; psychologists; rehabilitation nurses; social workers; dietitians and physicians who work with patients to develop the skills needed to live outside the hospital.

Our mission is to address the rehabilitation/habilitation needs of individuals and families who require specialized therapy services. We administer skilled intervention in the spirit of compassion, hope, and creativity, using a team approach that demonstrates our essential role to enhance independence and quality of life. We will strive to promote health and wellness while effectively utilizing human and community resources.

This process of comprehensive rehabilitation care, along with counseling and support systems, education and training for family members, and our ability to manage complex medical care issues, earns EIRMC’s reputation for excellent care.

Given EIRMC’s Level II Trauma Center, the Acute Rehabilitation Unit has developed a unique niche of expertise in treating stroke survivors, people recovering from traumatic brain injury and ortho-trauma patients.
