About our Program

Every parent knows that raising teen-agers can be difficult even under the best of circumstances. A torrent of emotions and can accompany the onset of adolescence. But there’s a threshold between normal teen angst and symptoms of deeper problems.

If a specific incident or pattern of behavior has raised concern for the safety of your teen or that of your family, or has made it difficult to maintain a status of equilibrium in your family, it may be time to ask for help.

EIRMC’s Teton Peaks Residential Center is a co-ed facility specifically designed to provide high-quality mental and behavioral treatment to 12- to 18-year-olds who are mentally, emotionally, or behaviorally impaired to the degree that they require long-term treatment in a secure environment. The program is also designed for those who require continuing care after acute psychiatric hospitalization or who need a 24-hour therapeutic program less restrictive than inpatient hospitalization.

We believe that everyone, through a systematic treatment approach, has the capacity to learn how to function effectively. Teton Peaks focuses on identifying challenges and providing individualized treatment interventions that prepare teen-agers to function in the community. We can help heal the pain your child is experiencing. Our staff is trained in Trauma Informed Care.

Teton Peaks treats adolescents who experience:

  • Mental illness
  • Substance abuse issues

  • Difficulties in their school environment
  • Depression
