Hometown Pilots Bring Comfort to Pediatric Patients

Idaho Falls, ID -- It isn't fun being sick, especially if you're a kiddo in the hospital. Today, local United Airlines employees plan to bring some excitement bedside, by delivering teddy bears to inpatient children and share stories about their exciting life in the sky.

This is all part of United's Adventure Bear Program, an annual initiative where United employees and customers make charitable contributions that go to help children and their families during health struggles or economic hardship. United collaborated with GUND(R) to design the limited-edition Adventure Bear, this year named "Rhonda Globe," which serves as the program's ambassador. (Source)

Hundreds of United employees, customers and community partners volunteer to participate in the Adventure Bear Program and will personally deliver more than 4,200 Adventure Bears by mid-February to children at hospitals around the world. (Source)

EIRMC is excited to partner with United Airlines and to be able to provide these bears to children, knowing they'll help bring a smile to their face.
