Our Staff
Some ER’s in our area are not staffed 24/7 with Emergency Room physicians. But we are! All of our ER physicians are board-certified in Emergency Medicine, and have many years’ experience treating the unique medical needs of children.
Additionally, every RN in our Emergency Room is PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certified. Most have also passed rigorous training called the Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course that gives nurses tools to provide excellent care for patients from birth to adolescence.
Pediatric Readiness
The National Pediatric Readiness Project represents a national initiative sponsored by the federal Emergency Medical Services for Children Program (EMSC) to ensure that emergency departments are ready to care for children. ERs take an assessment regarding available resources for the care of children and receive a score based on a 100 point scale.
